 Visit SÆXIA at this years Chalke Valley History Festival and become part of a West Saxon Fyrd Recruitment and Training encampment from the time of King Alfred. Have an Early Medieval "medical" examination, get put through your paces and find out what kind of a warrior you are, and if you have what it takes to make your stand against the Vikings and win...!

4 Kingdoms Adventure Park

 SÆXIA represented the Saxon side of a Viking encampment for the Living History part of a large multi-period historical festival at the 4 Kingdoms Adventure park near Reading, featuring our     have-a-go authentic Saxon axe throwing and demonstrations of timber splitting.

SÆXIA will join sister group Swords of Penda this July to bring the Anglo Saxon Village at West Stow to life, featuring Living History and early AS crafts and trades like Blacksmithing and carpentry, fabrics and authentic dyeing techniques, combat displays and much more!

CHILTERN OPEN AIR MUSEUM

August 24th-26th

SÆXIA will join Swords of Penda and Wodens Hearth for another August Bank Holiday weekend at the fascinating and diverse Chiltern Open Air Museum, where one can experience everything from Iron Age Britons blowing their Carnyx, courtesy of Here be Flagons, to other historic buildings rescue and carefully reassembled on this site.
